Virginia Tech GenCyber 2024

Virginia Tech will hold an ADVANCED camp for secondary school teachers. This camp is for secondary school teachers who have attended a GenCyber camp in the past and/or are teaching an advanced cybersecurity course at their high school.

Applications will be evaluated within two weeks of submission. Applicants will be selected on a rolling basis. The application will be open until the camp is full.

Virginia Tech and and the Virginia Cyber Range will host a GenCyber camp to support secondary school teachers who teach advanced cybersecurity topics. Instruction focused on advanced cybersecurity topics such as cryptography, networking, and the Linux command line, along with discussions of ethics, cybersecurity careers, and emerging topics. Hands-on labs will use the Virginia Cyber Range to demonstrate the topics and how they can be taught in your school.
Camp will be taught by Dr. David Raymond, Kristi Rice and guest speakers.

pre-camp webinars
one week camp on the Blacksburg campus of Virginia Tech
meals provided
travel allowance
post-camp Teacher Learning Centers
a $1,000 honorarium for completion of all portions of the camp
